As i choose the hotel wihout any previus knowledge
about the location relative to the city map we were
very happy with the hotel.we choose it through the internet. the brackfast was rich and with a fair price.
the hotel rate was relativly fair.
with a chip taxi drive you find yourself in the center.
the fronr desk stuff was helpfull and polite.
we shall be happy to be guests of the hotel in the future.

I had asked specifically for a double bed and when we got there we first were offered a tiny room with two single beds.

I refused the room since the purpose of our holiday was a romantic weekend, after some time spent refusing the room the staff suddenly had a double room available which we got and it was a nice room.

The location of the hotel is not close to the metro station and when you have luggage it can be exhausting carring all your things.

However there is a great pattisserie shop very close to the hotel that served amazing cakes.

Excellent Hotel

Although we only had one night (in fact, only a few hours) in the hotel, it was one of the best places we stayed in all of Europe.

We are budget travellers and had been staying in hostels. Had we known we could stay in such a nice place for the same amount of $ as the Madrid hostel we had persevered with for a week we would have been there the whole time!

The woman on the night desk was also extremely helpful. Thank you very much

The hotel was good and staff in general ok. The guy at the restaurent was terrible though. We waited for 15 minutes to be seated while he was talking to another client (?) and we left in disgust. The neighbouring Chinese restuarent was more efficient and cheap so I dont regret the decision but this was the only bad part of the deal.

Nice non-smoking facility. (I do not know what the "few" to "many" rating refers to, above.) The Internet access in the lobby was not working, unfortunately, but there is Internet access at a little shop nearby. While the hotel is in a nice area, and you could walk to Centro (Madrid), I found it easier to take a bus or subway into the heart of the city and then spend the day walking between museums and other attractions, then take a bus back to hotel after spending the day on foot. Nice room. Everything worked (air conditioning, combination safe, etc.). It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I would have liked an extra pillow, but there were none in the closet.

It was certainly one of the better hotels on our trip in terms of value for money. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. Tidy and spacious

The hotel is a long walk from the nearest tube station making it hard work when transporting luggage using public transport network. Unfortunately as we had checked into the hotel and were using the lift to our room, 2 black men got in the lift with us and stole my purse from my back pack. Luckily i realised almost immediately and was able to catch up with them and challenge them, they handed the purse back and fled. When i reported the matter to the duty receptionist he didn't seem interested and said it is normal! Very nice clean modern room the only thing lacking were tea/coffee making facilities, only a mini bar available which was obviously chargeable.
