The hotels locaion was not ideal, but quite acceptable close to public transit but few local restaurant choices. The room was not spacious but fine for 2 persons. It was clean, well appointed and well serviced. I would stay there again and recommended it to anyone not intent on living indoors during their stay in Barcelona.The staff was always helpfull when required. A continental breakfast should be included ( to be competitive with NH) although there was a nice pastry shop across the road for morning coffee.

We wanted to be close to the Sants rail station because we had rented a car from there when the train we wanted was sold out. The Sants station was just a 10 minute or so walk away and so dropping off our car and walking back was no problem. Also you can get to other parts of the city easily on foot, by metro at Sants or there is a taxi stand just across the street from the hotel-like when you need to catch a taxi to the airport. I advise you use this method rather than having a hotel call one for you.

One of my complaints is that when we checked out we forgot until about a half hour later, that we had left our fresh fruit in the minibar and we had also left our travel pillow. We called the hotel to notify them but when we returned later that day to pick up our luggage on the way to the airport they didn't have our stuff. So I guess because of its size, in part, the staff is a little impersonal.

Also, someone was cleaning I suppose in the room next door in the morning. Moving furniture around, making a huge racket. I finally jumped up and banged the wall as hard as I could out of frustration and it stopped. But it was really a rediculous amount of noise. We stayed on the fourth floor facing the street so traffic noise was a little annoying as well. But I think I could have slept through that had I not been awaken by the cleaning crew.
