Departments
The HolidayCity
management team is supported by various departments and
personnel that are fully committed to the overall growth and
expansion of the company’s business interest. Each
department has specific tasks and duties and is headed by
the respective manager who is responsible for the successful
and timely delivery of the pre-determined set of goals.
Customer Service
The
Customer Service department is an integral part of HolidayCity's operational
structure as this is the team that is the 'face' of the company. The
Customer Service Officers (CSOs) interact and communicate closely and
constantly with our customers to provide them with the assistance they need
in making room bookings, changing their reservation status and to answer
their queries on other issues and concerns related to their accommodation
arrangement.
Business Development
Business Development Team's (BDT) main task is to continuously seek attractive
discounted room rates from hotel partners and to ensure that the products
offered are correct and binding with the relevant terms and condition. The
BDT also oversees any communication with the product providers on issues
such as room rates and information updates, and marketing and promotional
programmes.
Marketing & Communications
The department’s tasks include
overseeing the overall implementation of HolidayCity’s marketing and
communications strategy; managing new initiatives; establishing a strong
HolidayCity brand through strategic media exposure; and identifying areas
for improvement that would lead to an increase in the sales volume.
Information
Technology
The IT dept plays an important
role as the backbone of the whole operation. The department is responsible
for producing and maintaining the websites, the general health of the office
network, creating and installing new programmes, and handling any technical
problems that may arise.
The department consists of two teams; the web developers and the software
engineers. The former is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the
hotel webpages, for both content and management of images. The software
engineers are responsible for the creation of new software, maintenance of
programmes underpinning the HolidayCity’s network and websites, and solving
any technical problems.
Finance
The Finance department manages
the cash flow and ensures the financial reporting compliance for both senior management and legislative requirements. The department also
coordinates the raw data provided by the CSOs (bookings, cancellations, etc)
and the contract information provided by the BDT (rates, terms and
conditions, etc) in order to generate invoices to be forwarded to the
hotels. Finance also handles collection of the outstanding commissions due
from the hotels.
HR & Admin
The HR & Admin department
ensures that the company’s human resources needs are taken care of through the
acquisition of quality personnel. Aside from conducting interviews and the
administrative task, the department also conducts internal development
programmes to motivate and enhance the staff’s efficiency.
