The AC Santo Mauro Hotel Madrid is the five-star hotel located in the heart of Madrid's Chamberi district, very near Paseo de la Castellana. This was the area where at the end of the 19th century the Spanish nobility established their residences and their small palace mansions. One of these palaces, today's AC Santo Mauro, saw its 100th anniversary in 1994.
AC Santo Mauro Hotel Madrid was built at the orders of the Duke of Santo Mauro and its remarkable French influence is due to the work of French architect Louis Legrand. The old palace library -conditioned as a restaurant - and the ball rooms, now conference rooms, with access to the garden, have been kept unchanged. Restored in 2002, the hotel combines the classical style of its architecture with avant-garde and contemporary element.
