High marks across the board for this hotel. The staff were, without exception, courteous, professional and helpful. The room was gorgeous (!), and the turndown service provided each night was an unexpected and lovely touch. The food was excellent (both

the hotel is a pleasant walking distance from many of florence's best attractions. Don't be put off by its proximity to the train station. The area immediately surrounding the station leaves something to be desired, but once you turn into the side street where the hotel is located, and especially once you see the hotel and are shown to your room, you will congratulate yourself on having made a good choice.
