After two very pleasant stays, we only have one slightly critical remark: We had difficulties convincing a receptionist that a double room would not suffice to three persons who had booked (and paid for) a triple. The area in which Albergo is situated appears to be "under construction" and within a few years, this will probably be a nice neighbourhood.

It is about a 15 minute walk from the main terminal. There is a bus station and a train station nearby also. This hotel is ideal for an overnight or 2 night stay but is about a 25 minute drive from the city centre. The staff are excellent and are very polite. There is an excellent Italian restaurant adjacent to the hotel.

Reviewer: BRYAN HILL Date of review: 24 October 2007 Recommends this hotel: YES Recommended for: Business, Leisure Room Hotel Facilities 3 Bed 4 Ambience 3 Cleanliness 4 Service 4 Room Size 3 Location 4 Amenities 3 Value for Money 3 This Hotel is located close to Berlin Shonefeld airport and is a good transit point for onward travel.A shuttle bus is provided ( arranged through the information desk in the terminal) or you can walk it in around 10 mins by following the covered walkway to the train station and turning left at the main street. On arrival I found the staff to be both pleasant and helpfull and the room alloted adequate for my needs. A substantial buffet breakfast is provided in the adjoining hotel retaurant - where again, the staff were welcoming and attentitive and the food was good. Overall it's a good choice for the price I think, and I'd certainly use this hotel again in the future if the opportunity arose.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. The location of such a good hotel, at such a reasonable price so close to the Schonefeld Airport, is a definite plus. The one thing which could be improved is the shower in the bathroom - there needs to be a door or a curtain so that water does not spray and run out over the bathroom floor! The morning breakfast was excellent for the price, as was the service.

The hotel was within easy walking distance from the airport and even easier to the train station where regular trains were available into the centre of Berlin. The double room was very comfortable and the breakfast selection was excellent. Overall excellent value for money and we would certainly use the facility again. Shuttle bus was convenient and nice as well as the breakfast so early in the morning. Would like to stay there again visiting Berlin.

I was collected from the airport at the beginning of my stay and taken to the S Bahn when it was time for me to leave. The room fully met my requirements, although it would have been good to have some coffee/tea making facilities. The staff were at all times friendly and courteous. This was an excellent place for an overnight stay and I will use it again. Thank you.
