great for travelling on budget Reviewer: Alan Pimperton Date of review: 29 August 2008 Recommends this hotel: YES Recommended for: Business, Leisure, Romance, Families, Singles, Couples Room Hotel Facilities 4 Bed 5 Ambience 4 Cleanliness 4 Service 4 Room Size 5 Location 5 Amenities 4 Value for Money 5 not the cheapest hotel to be found in venice, but excellent value and comfort for such reasonable prices. dont expect the 'ritz' but i cant fault it as a buget hotel. it is cosiderabbly better than any hostel! the hotel situated a minute walk from the train station, is on a quiet street in ideal location for vapporetto and for exploring the city by foot. it is extremely well kept and tidy with air conditioned rooms. a peach of a cheap hotel, i will be reccommending it to my friends.

When we arrived one couple was given a lovely room with an ensuite washroom, working TV and lights on the main floor next to the lobby and the other couple a small room on the 3rd floor with two washrooms at the end of the hall shared by the entire floor one of which was out of order. The TV did not work and the overhead light would not turn on. Both were mysteriously on and working the next morning when we returned to our room after breakfast where we were overheard complaining about it to our travelling companions . Both of us were charged exactly the same amount for the rooms upon departure. The location of the hotel was good and the breakfast served was adequate although there was a charge for a second cup of coffee. The staff were fairly courteous but were quick to dismiss complaints as being untrue. We were glad we were staying only one night.

Was informed that my credit card was already charged. Since I was in a hurry to catch the train, I left. Then it stuck me that the particular credit card was blocked. So, I contacted them and found that payment had not been authorized, and so gave them details of another credit card. They never contacted me on their own, and if I had not taken the initiative, I guess they would have been happy to lose Euro 200 and I would have stayed at the hotel for free Wi fi internet facility in the room is a big plus
