quirky Reviewer: Debra Sloggett Date of review: 28 June 2008 Recommends this hotel: YES Recommended for: Leisure, Singles, Couples Room Hotel Facilities 3 Bed 3 Ambience 3 Cleanliness 3 Service 4 Room Size 3 Location 4 Amenities 3 Value for Money 4 i wasn't sure what my expectations were for this hotel however I enjoyed my stay due to the quirkiness of the room and the location. it is close to the gardens, away from the city for those who don't want the city life. i was in glasgow for a conference so didn't need the night life. i was in a single room which was originally one large room divided hence interesting corners and decor. i found this fun. the single bed was comfortable and the facilities were satisfactory for my needs. the bathroom was homely but spacious enough for my needs. breakfast was varied, the room quite small but satisfactory. i didn't avail myself of the bar facilities. the hotel is close to bus stops and a short walk to the underground station. lots of cafes and food places are a short walk away. i would suggest this hotel for couples/singles needing a comfortable non city environment but close enough to experience city life. it is handy for the botanical gardens, university and kelvingrove art museum. it is not for those who have expectations for a well stocked room or bathroom or comfortable sitting area. value for money
