Hotel Vondel is located a stone's throwaway from the Concertgebouw, Museumplein with the Rijks Museum, the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum and the P.C. Hooftstraat where you will find the most exclusive shops of Amsterdam. The famous Leidseplein with its bars, restaurants and clubs is in the immediate vicinity.

How to get to the hotel:

From the central station it is easy to take tram number 1, 2 or 5 to the 'Leidseplein'. The guest can buy tickets at the conductor in the back of the tram. If getting off on the Leidseplein will see two big hotels, the 'Marriott' and the 'NH Amsterdam Centre Hotel' in between will find the Vondelstraat. When entering the Vondelstraat will find Hotel Vondel after 100 meters on the right.

Directions from Schiphol

Taxi

Find a taxi stand in front of the arrival hall and will be in Hotel Vondel within 20 minutes. The guest can also contact the hotel, they can arrange a business taxi, this is a fixed price and the driver will pick the guest up in the arrival hall, this service has to be booked in advance.

Public transport

Take the train from Schiphol-Airport to Amsterdam Central Station. Travel time is 20 minutes. When leaving Central Station, can take a taxi to Hotel Vondel. It is also possible to take tram number 1, 2 or 5 to the 'Leidseplein'. The guest can buy tickets at the conductor in the back of the tram. On the Leidseplein will see two big hotels, the 'Marriott' and the 'NH Amsterdam Centre Hotel' in between will find the Vondelstraat.

KLM-shuttlebus

Find bus stop A7 in front of the arrival hall. It is a green Connexion-bus and it will take the guest to Amsterdam within 40 minutes. The guest can buy tickets at the KLM-desk or in the bus. Get off at the 'NH Amsterdam Centre Hotel'. The Vondelstraat is on the right-hand side next to the 'NH Amsterdam Centre Hotel' and 'Marriott Hotel'.

Directions by car

From A2 Utrecht

Coming from the A2 follow signs "centrum" so drive straight ahead on the highway. Turn right at the first set of traffic-lights after the 'Utrechtsebrug' and follow the 'Amsteldijk' along the 'Amstel Canal'. Drive until get to the T-crossing. Here, turn left the 'Stadhouderskade'. Pass three bridges. Turn left just before the 'Leidseplein', this is the 'Tesselschadestraat' (follow signs Byzantium Parking). Directly on the left-hand side is the 'Byzantium Garage' where the guest can park the car. After the bend (right-hand side), the guest will see Hotel Vondel in the Vondelstraat 28. The guest can also park your car on the street parking spots. Day tickets are sold at the hotel.

From A4 Schiphol Airport / The Hague

Coming from the A4 (E10) follow signs Zaandam and take the S-106 exit into Amsterdam. At the end of the exit, turn right. Continue straight on the roundabout 'Surinameplein'. Ther guest now pass the bridge and take a left turn and are on the 'Overtoom'. At the end of the 'Overtoom', turn right and take the second street on the right, the 'Tesselschadestraat' (follow signs Byzantium Parking). Directly on the left is the 'Byzantium Garage' where the guest can park the car. After the bend (right-hand side), will see Hotel Vondel in the Vondelstraat 28. The guest can also park your car on the street parking spots. Day tickets are sold at the hotel.

From A1 Amersfoort-Diemen

Coming from the Al (E-32), follow the signs 'Amsterdam Z.O.' and 'Schiphol'. Take the S-112 exit. The guest will enter the city at the 'Amstel Railway-station'. Follow the sign 'Centre', and now are on the 'Wibautstraat'. When you come to a large crossing at the 'Mauritskade', turn left. Cross the 'Amstel Canal' and go straight on the 'Stadhouderskade'. Turn left just before the 'Leidseplein', this is the 'Tesselschadestraat' (follow signs Byzantium Parking). Directly on the left is the 'Byzantium Garage' where the geust can park the car. After the bend (right-hand side), wil see Hotel VondelCentre in the Vondelstraat 28. The guest can also park the car on the street parking spots. Day tickets are sold at the hotel.

From N5 Haarlem
