The only negative thing during our stay was a "trip" organised the morning we left to Murano - we had not been told we were to be taken to the glass factory and personally shown around. We felt rather like we had been hi-jacked as it was obvious that the "taxi" would not be returning unless we purchased something. We did not in the end and felt very cross that we had been made to feel uncomfortable. We waited almost 20 minutes for a waterbus and eventually got back to the hotel to retrive our luggage with very little time to spare before going to the airport. A shame as the stay at the hotel and in Venice itself had been perfect up to that point. Little hotel information in the room and no little or no signage around the hotel
