The hotel staff were simply marvelous! They made our stay in Edinburgh simply delightful and made us feel very welcome and at home. If I ever come back to Edinburgh I would like to stay here again. The room was a little smaller than I thought it would be but it was still quite lovely.

clean, modern, stylish but a bit small. I think a longer stay would have felt a bit cramped an but 2 nights was OK.

Breakfast was good and the service friendly but the coffee pot had been rinsed out and the top was filthy.Average hotel in an excellent location. If this was over-sized then a standard room must be very cramped. I had expected there would be two comfortable chairs not one, a hairdryer(I can't believe there wasn't one) and bathrobes. I thought these were standard for a Four Star hotel. The runner across the bed was very dirty and the carpets not well vacuumed. The glasses were not clean. The towels were getting jaded and did not have a pleasant smell.I would rate it 3 Star.

The Hotel staff were absolutely it's best feature. They were all very friendly, polite and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was not worth GBP115 per night (room only) the facilities were basic and the restaurant breakfast was very poor for GBP11.00. I have since found equal and better quality hotels in Edinburgh that are far more value for money. As a frequent business traveller I was looking for a regular supplier for our company but will not be recommending you on the basis of my personal experience. The room was too small and not of the quality I had been led to believe given that I had upgraded to an Executive room. My experience elsewhere is that I could have expected a better standard and size of room for the price.

If I had paid the full price of GBP140 I would have been disappointed with the hotel. However, the price I paid through yourselves made it more realistic. The staff at the Front Reception Desk were more then helpful. Basic standard room not worth paying the full price for. Was constantly woken up by employees working in the yard below my window. Fighting by wedding guests staying at hotel was something that did not appear to be dealt with by staff. Breakfast looked good on the menu but when it turned up it was paltry - one or two other guests remarked on this also.
