The staff was particularly courteous and helpful.

We paid Stg£216 for two nights in this hotel. Whilst I relaise the golf was on in St Andrews and people make a living, the hotel was way over priced. The room was the smallest I have ever stayed in, the safe broke, there was a disgusting brown drip fom the room above and the bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in. We spent next to no time in the hotel so we did not bother complaining. The staff were lovely in fairness to them and they got us taxis easily and quickly and dealt with the safe issue promptly when it broke. Apart from them and its proximity to Haymarket Train Station, there is nothing going for this hotel. Brendan

Very enjoyable stay. The staff could not have been more helpful - excellent. Room very tastefully decorated and comfortable. Very convenient for train station and only 10 minutes to walk into city centre.

I should have commented at the time, but the there was no cord on the roller blind in the bathroom, one of the spotlights in the bathroomw wasn't working and the shower was never really that hot

High initial cost of room further stung by a cheese omelete for breakfast GBP11!!! small room with very high windows

Great reception staff, lift was not working but overall very nice, friendly and helpful compact but fine, good bathroom great PC options and power supplies etc

It is a bit far- if you are traveling by train get off at the Haymarket station, not Edinburgh Waverly. The bus system is great though- and stops right outside the hotel's front door. Very modern decor- lots of storage space and they gave large size toiletries plus the cute rubber duck!

The door was a bit too small for the frame which meant that it let in a stream of light from the corridor all night and the cleaners room which was directly next to our room was very noisy and woke us up very early every day.
