Hotel Aprile Palazzo dal Borgo Florence is converted from a 15th century building which is preserved as an historic monument. Frescoes and high vaulted ceilings mark the architectural value of the building. The old world charm of the cosy lounge, elegantly decorated with antiques and original paintings, creates an intimate and stylish atmosphere to which fresh flowers and a selection of art books in the public rooms give an added touch. The breakfast room is decorated with original frescoes.
Both breakfast room and lounge look onto a delightful, secluded courtyard garden which is ideal to relax in after a busy sightseeing day and where, during the warmer season, breakfast and drinks are served. A unique feature of the hotel is the complimentary lecture on the art and history of Florence presented on three evenings a week by a professor of the University of Florence, which is held in the frescoed breakfast room.
