We wished we had had more time to spend in this fascinating and beautiful city. If we return to Venice in the future We would not hesitate to stay at the Hotel Arco Antico again. It is more a small bed and breakfast establishment than a hotel as I don't believe they serve dinner or lunch. The Hotel Arco Antico in Venice is situated close to the Grand Canal and a short walk to the Rialto Bridge. We caught a private taxi to the private jetty from the station and from there it is only a 50 metre walk to the hotel - cost 50 euros, but it was well worth it as the taxi man carried our heavy bags to the boat and then to the front door of the hotel. There are an assortment of shops nearby but that seems to be the case in all areas of Venice. The hotel is beautifully appointed, the staff were very obliging and the breakfast was one of the best we had enjoyed in Europe. Highly recommended.

A map would help. Water from shower spilled onto bathroom floor. This made it dangerous under foot. The shower unit should be attached to wall and a curtain added.

Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms well presented and very comfortable. Highly recommended

They are very friendly,personal and helpful which is very important when one is away from home and in a country whose language is different from yours. The decor of the room was classical and well suited the style. the bathroom was modern in a classical way and looked like luxury.

Beautifully decorated, small but clean and well designed bathroom.

A few days later and far away from Venice, I emailed the hotel to inquire about the billing. They quickly reviewed the charges, discovered the error, and immediately issued me a check that was waiting for me at home in the States. The refund cleared without any difficulty. Considering that I had no recourse if they refused to correct the error, I was extremely pleased with their service and attitude. I HIGHLY recommend such a honest establishment and proud ethic. And the hotel was wonderful and a great value, too. The room was quite beautiful and comfortable. It turned out to be the room in the photos and brochures for the hotel. The bathroom arrangement was interesting (up a flight of stairs) but more than acceptable.

The people were very friendly and the breakfast was nicely presented. The accomodation provided a personal feel while providing privacy as well. Room was very clean. I realy felt like I was a part of the Venice community staying here. I like the location of the Hotel. It was very central yet still far enough away from noise.
