When I spoke to the desk and produced my printed confirmation, they offered another room, slightly larger, but the bed was still a double. They told me that the double beds were "their king-size". I said there was quite a difference. The rooms were tired and in need of decoration with heat stains on the ceiling above wall lamps, faded wallpaper. There was a hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was full English fry-up for £7.50, served as a buffet. Cold cereal, bread and croissants were available. The public areas of the hotel are pleasant and the staff courteous. If you're on a business trip and need a place to stay near major roads, the NEC or the airport, the location is convenient.
