When you want to spend some time in your room or want a lobby with a bar or a cup of coffee in de evening you better look for another hotel. The staff was helpfull to give you information about travelling to Venice and it is possible to buy a public transport card for bus and boat in Venice.

They were superb in their service. They reserved transportaion for us, recommended wonderful eateries and offered many helpful tips for us as first time visitors to the area. One rainy morning they served us delicious cappacino's while playing cards and waiting for the rain to pass. One caution: online is represents only a 10 minute shuttle to Venice from the hotel. In reality it is closer to 20 minutes. The bus is only 1.10 Euros per person per way and the stop is conveniently located right outside the hotel. Hotel Ariston is a great choice if you are looking to save a few dollars from the high cost of Venice hotels.

The location and access to trnsport was really good. Would stay agin if the occasion arised.
