The Rijksmuseum is a short walk from the hotel. The hotels rate is reasonable by Amsterdam standards. The included breakfast is very average. The room was large and clean, facing a courtyard, so there was no street noise. For some reason, the mattress had a tendency to slide off the bed.

The staff where very friendly. It was a 25 minute wals to Dam square which was nice. The stairs to our room where very strange and would not suit any one with a physical difficulty. It was over priced compared to uk hotels. The room was very drab and basic but the bed was very comfortable and clean but it was 2 single matresses.I would have prefered a double bed. We would have liked to have tea/coffee facilities in the room also.

Regarding amentieis - a small kettle and cups would have been great for us to make a cup of tea/coffee as wished.

The beds were very flimsy and of a poor standard
