From the highway, get off at Firenze Nord. From all other roadways, follow signs for Centro and Stazione Santa Maria Novella. Get on the Viali di Circonvallazione (the avenue circling the city) and follow directions to Fortezza da Basso. Once you reach the Fortress, take Viale Spartaco Lavagnini towards Piazza della Liberta. At the first intersection turn right onto Via Santa Caterina D'Alessandria.
