Little space for clothes storage e.g. drawer space. TV reception was very poor or non existent except for one foreign channel. Requests for improvement went without action or apology. No elevator made hauling luggage up and down stairs to the third floor a struggle. Outside noise was the biggest problem with emergency vehicles regularly passing by but more so drunks yelling and screaming loudly every night until 3.30 to 4.00 a.m.was totally unacceptable.

The breakfast was huge excellent food. Very impressed with the size of the room, especially the bathroom. room had everything we needed.

After the bar crowd quieted down at about 2 AM the basement live music band kicked in. There was yelling and singing in the streets all night long (and it was a thursday). The room was too warm, with no way to control the temperature, except by opening the window to even greater noise. We were supposed to stay two nights, but changed after just one.

The staff was also very helpful. The only thing I didn't like were the pigeons outside in the window!the net to have them away was broken so it was a bit disturbing in the morning. The room was excelent!! Really well decorate and it was a really good surprise. The bathroom was also perfect!

The rooms are on top of a Pub so dining facilities and sevice not of the grea although exceedingly frindly. However immediately outside the hotel are numerous eateries. Thought the room was very clean and comfortable. The decor added "atmosphere" to our visit to Edinburgh. Tis was such a pleasant change from the generic hotel.
