The Baur Au Lac Zurich is 150 years old and still owned by the same family. In the last few years it has been given a thorough overhaul and equipped with the latest technology and the highest degree of comfort, in order that it may continue to occupy its leading position in the coming century. Behind the elegant facade, almost two thirds of the building were renovated and refurnished.
Recent renovation gave each room and suite a style all its own. Each one also combines timeless elegance with every modern convenience and an inviting, relaxed ambiance. The hotel's 124 rooms include 17 junior suites and 25 suites. Sizes range from 25 m2 to 90 m2.
Other ammenities include Rive Gauche restaurant, also open to the public, a garden restaurant, function rooms, equipped with conference facilities, and a hotel carpark. There is also an in-house nightclub and a bar for evening entertainment.

This hotel was brilliant!

My experience with the service was very good, however, my husband was given the royal-runaround with respect to car-parking. Because we had the only non-Mercedes, non-BMW, non-Ferrari in the drive, the doorman assumed we were not guests of the hotel...
