The garden setting around the hotel made for a restful stay and yet it was located within walking distance of the main shopping areas and restaurants. The staff were very courteous and the breakfasts were of a high standard and good value for money. I would recommend this hotel and will certainly come here again when we next visit Norwich

It was a civilised oasis in the heart of the city. While we were there, some major refurbishment had started in the main house, so not all was at its best. There also was a draght from a faulty window in the bathroom, which made it on the cold side until we had mastered how to best use the towel rail. We also had Dinner on Sunday evening as we did not wish to go out. This was not up to the usual standard, we are sure, as we had been informed it would be what was left from lunch. The breakfasts were superb, and the staff unfailingly courteous.
