The hotel staff were very helpful when we needed assistance. We would appreciate tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms, although we understand that this is not common practice in Austria. We did not eat in the hotel except for breakfast which was very acceptable, although at an extra charge.

The staff are helpful and efficient, and will go out of their way to help you if you ask. We did encounter one unfriendly man on the reception but after a comment to his colleague who had been very helpful, he changed his demeanour completely and was very nice to us. The rooms and the beds are lovely, spacious, quiet and the hotel has a calm, olde worlde ambience. The food in the restaurant is good, but on a number of occasions we wanted to also have a drink in the bar area but it was frequented constantly by smokers, (and worse - often cigars) which made it impossible to sit in there too.
