Breakfast served was excellent. No communal computer provided for guests to use however the American Bar around the corner was convenient for internet use. Staff were not very personable.

Was worried that it would be noisy, but there was good soundproofing on double glss balcony doors in room. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Not a luxury hotel, but top marks for perhaps the best budget hotel we've stayed in.

Clean and tidy hotel, room OK if a little old fashioned. Bed really comfortable. Breakfast good. Expensive for what it is but then I guess that's Geneva!

Friendly staff. Wi-fi in the room. Efficient and inconscpicuous room service. In sum: all you need for a comfortable and productive stay.

Must admit I was a bit worried by some of the other reviews but this hotel is all that - right opposite the main station ( not noisy though - at least, not on the side I was on ) great transport links, easy to get back to and find after a few beers ( some not too expensive restautrants nearby ) and most impiortantly - about a 5 minute walk to the lake and maybe 10 minutes to the old town. Staff were very friendly and helpful, with good english, they give a free public transport pass for your stay as well. Big window for brekky too - 6.30 - 10am. Hotel was perhaps not ultra modern or fantastically appointed ( room had a tv but no tea or coffee ) and value for money is marked down due to exchange rate and well, its switzerland, but it was clean ( brand new bathroom ) and my twin room was a good size with a nice view across the rooftops to the jet d'eau. Didn't hear a peep out of any other guests. For a longer stay you'd probably want somewhere n a nicer location but this place is perfect for a night or two especially if you need to get an early train to the airport - couldn't be easier.

Bernina Hotel fulfilled the requirements that I needed at a very good rate. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the rooms clean and nicely designed and furnished, not super but comfortable, breakfast service was great,100% free transportation ticket during my stay made me satisfied and happy, it is strategically situated opposite to Geneva railwaiy mainstation, metro, bus, tram, shops, bars ,restaurants, supermarkets, banks, and very near to the lake, the airport, botanical garden and some churches. It is very good value for money.

There is also excellent bus and tram connection possible as you cross the road in front of the hotel. Breakfast has enough variety. There are many good restaurants near the hotel. However, if you want to avoid crowds at the restaurant you do not have to walk far. There are many Cambios i.e. foreign exchange facilities. The hotel gives you a courtesy transport pass for the period of your stay at the hotel that enables you to go round the city by bus, tram, trolley bus, etc. and also to the airport on the day of your departure. The staff are couteous and helpful.
