We really enjoyed our stay. Mateo and Cecile on the desk were very friendly and most helpful making reservations for the places we wanted to visit. The hotel has free internet access and a computer you can use if you didn't bring one. This was a bonus, most hotels charge for internet access if they have it. Its location is near the train station, some great restaurants, the best gelateria we found, and the Accademia (Michaelangelo's David). Actually, we walked everywhere and didn't feel it was necessary to use buses. The sites in Florence are fairly close together. Hotel Bottecelli's free breakfast was typical for Italy (coffee, juice, rolls, sliced ham, cheese, yogurt, cereal, and apples were available). Our room was large, clean and the bed nice and hard. The bathroom was also fine. The tub had a half curtain (door), so taking a shower was tricky. At least there was a partial door - we have stayed in some places where there was no shower curtain at all. There is a beautiful little terrace on the second floor. Overall, it was a good value for the money and we would stay here again.

Rooms were small, but clean and th staff was super helpful.

Lovely and clean.

The dining hall and desk staff were most helpful. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends and fellow teachers. It also has a very central and convenient location. Only draw back was the foul smelling garbage bins from a nearby restaurant which were unfortunately located very near the front entrance to the hotel.

Nice beakfast starting at 07:30 and a very helpful frontdesk staff. They provided assistance on where to eat and shop and helped with our lost luggage. Mailed post cards for us. A good basic room for a fair price. A nice size shower along with a hair dryer and bidet.
