It is in a great location. Very close to the tram, the river and the cathedral. Basel is a beautiful city. The staff are very nice and accommodating. We would definitely come back to this hotel.

Its location was what first attracted me and to be honest, because the price was so good, I didn't expect much. But I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it was not only clean and modern but also had alot of little extras that I wouldn't have expected, such as a UK plug! It also had a hair-dryer in the bathroom. Again, definite bonus. Like many EU residents, I was under the impression that Switzerland had the same plug-ins as the rest of the EU so it was nice that that was taken into consideration when constructing the hotel. Admittedly, the room was a little on the small side but given the price and the fact that it had everything I needed and I could walk out the front door and be right in the heart of the city, well, it was hardly worth mentioning. Definately recommend it. And of course, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I'll definately come back! Marina from Ireland

We were offered a reasonable upgrade to a Quad room which gave us more room. The staff was very pleasant and the hotel's location, within easy walking distance for the Hofbanhof and a convenient bus and streetcar stop was ideal. We will definitely consider the Hotel Bristol on future trips to Zurich. Robin Harben
