It is central for the railway station, city centre, docks and, as in my case, near to the university. The staff were excellent very courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely lovely although we did on two occasions eat out, we found the adelphi breakfast and carvery wonderful. We would recommend the hotel to anyone. Thank you for a lovely stay - wish it could have been longer.

This hotel ws probably nice in it's prime, but now it just looks run down, reception staff miserable and cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. If you do stay here get cheap internet prices, ok if you are going to spend your time out and about and only using it to sleep, for one night. Beyond that look elsewhere.

Elevator also problematic. Should be called Fawlty Towers room was ok...ish.TV not working. Hot water ran from the 2 taps for a period in shower????????

The location is excellent though for city centre persuits. The decor was very tired looking, but it was reasonably clean and comfortable.
