Our room was was comfortable and for the most part, clean, but on arrival, we found the toilet still showed 'signs' of the previous occupants. (This was however described as 'unacceptable' by the receptionist and rapidly rectified). The leisure facilities were acceptable...the swimming pool had a 'worn' feel to it (as did a lot of ther rest of the hotel), and the gym was small but well fitted out. The bar staff need a bit of training..the barman had to grab a menu from a table to see how to make a vodka martini (He didn't have to in the end as there were no orange bitters!!) In the dining room, our selected wine was unavailable, but a (more expensive) replacement was offered for the same price. The food was very good. In conclusion, it was a reasonable overnight stop and good value for what we paid.
