The reason for the stay we were attending a family wedding. The food, service and staff were excellent - the whole occasion was very enjoyable. The hotel is convenient and in lovely surroundings. The staff were very courteous and extremely helpful. The only objection I had was the extortionate fee you had to pay to secure the room earlier than 2pm. Given that we were part of the wedding party I though this was extremely unreasonable. I appreciate they attempt to maintain standards but still believe it to be unreasonable. It just soured what otherwise was a perfect occasion.
