It was very handy for the railway station (5 minutes walk) and the bus stop to the airport is right outside the hotel. Also the bus stop to the fenicular to take you up to the old city (bus numbered 1A) stops across the road from the hotel and runs every few minutes.

We were greeted on arrival by reception staff who were all very helpful to accommodate our party. We were a little early to check in but staff arranged for our luggage to be safely locked away until staff could deliver the luggage to the appropriate rooms. Reception told us about Bergamo and the local attractions and also gave us details on the Site Seeing City Bus. This was excellent value for money as the ticket could be used on any other transport within a 24 hour period. We took advantage of this and went back to the old town on the evening for dinner. Our party had a very enjoyable stay and would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Bergamo for any reason. A high standard hotel with good quality rooms and in-room facilities.

We arrived about 8.00 pm and did not feel inclined to walk in the dark some distance up to the old town. Just round the corner from the hotel we had a drink at Cafe de Paris and then a very good dinner at Trattoria al Brushetta (or a name v. similar). Next morning we had to go to the airport. It was very convenient to be only 8 mins away by taxi. I would recommend this hotel as a good stopover, but not for several days, because there are no facilities (the restaurant was closed) and it is quite a walk up to the old town. A comfortable hotel.
