All the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and pleasant. The location was very good for our requirements making the walks to the sights of venice interesting and varied rather than being right on top of them. As previously stated the hotel had no
... other facilities other than the breakfast room which was only available during the morning. The breakfast did not vary from day to day but the self sevice style did not appear to put any restrictions on the amount one could have. i found that the hotel for the facilities it provided was rather expensive, having stayed in hotels in other areas of europe which have provided better facilities and meals for less cost. I do not know if the sister hotel the carlton grand canal's facilities were open to guests of the carlton capri if this is so it was not pointed out to us on our visit as this would have given us somewhere close by to visit for a night cap. I would recommend the carlton capri to others because of the location,!. The room was large, kept clean but was in need of redecoration due to obvious dampness on the wall to the exterior of the room. It would have been pleasant to have facilities to make a hot drink in the room as there was only a mini bar and the hotel does not have any bar or refreshment service other than the breakfast room which only served in the mornings.
