Dalhousie Castle Hotel, standing just a few miles south of Edinburgh, occupied a position of great strategic importance, and so was witness to more than its fair share of history. What better setting could there be to enjoy Falconry, the sport of kings, with the Castle as a back drop.

It is ironic that a building, once so warlike, should have become an inviting Scottish castle hotel that now prides itself on the warmness of the welcome it extends to visitors.

Directions:

By car from Edinburgh
Follow the City Bypass– take the Gilmerton/Galashiels exit for A7 – then follow signs for Galashiels until you see the sign for Dalhousie Castle Hotel. Dalhousie Castle Hotel is on the left after the Cockpen Church and before the bridge.

By car from Glasgow and Edinburgh Airport
Join the Edinburgh bypass at Gogarburn roundabout. Follow bypass until Lasswade slip road, follow signs for Bonnyrigg, and drive straight through Bonnyrigg following the Dalhousie Castle Hotel sign, remaining on the main road. At roundabout, follow B704 signed for Gorebridge. Dalhousie Castle Hotel is located half a mile out of Bonnyrigg on the right with the entrance on your left.

By train
5 hours from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley.

By air
14 miles from Edinburgh airport and 45 miles from Glasgow airport. Heli-pad on site.
