An enjoyable time at the Castro Reviewer: james roger carberry Date of review: 4 August 2009 Recommends this hotel: YES Recommended for: Leisure, Romance, Families, Couples Room Hotel Facilities 5 Bed 5 Ambience 5 Cleanliness 5 Service 5 Room Size 5 Location 5 Amenities 3 Value for Money 5 I stayed for a week at the Castro Hotel and was very pleased with the room, the amenities, the closeness and distance away from the city of Heraklion, and the overall politeness of the staff who were very friendly. We also had breakfast included with the (cheap) price, although it was basic, it was sufficient to get us through the day. Upon arrival at four am we were met by an alert member of staff who showed us to our rooms. One more thing we had a car and found the hotel a great base from which to get into Heraklion, and also to explore the island. roger carberry
