We found the location great since it has a free shuttle bus and it is right on the city bus route. Very easy to access the bus terminal and the train station. The grounds are very nicely kept and provide calm in the middle of a very busy city.

I work in the conference and events industry and this was NOT my idea of a 4 star hotel - 3 at best. It would have been nice to have been told at the time of booking that there were building works going on around the pool meaning there were lots of workmen wandering around and lorrys/trucks going backwards and forwards, very noisy. Room could have been a LOT cleaner. Food was good but I have never been charged a fee for room service before, again it would have been nice to have been told a fee would apply when I placed the order. The room I was originally shown to, supposedly a spacious room, was tiny. Four rooms later I was finally given one that was a decent size.

Our room was very comfortable, warm and had a lovely view of the grounds and surrounding hills.

This is important when a lot of travellers rely on internet for onward bookings and accommodation. Hotel did allow me to use their internet from the reception computer Great presentation, all amenities except coffee making, which is probably not a European thing.

Pool is very nice. They have a free shuttle into Florence which is convenient and it is also near the bus line. They have rooms with beds in 2nd story lofts which can be quite charming, if you can climb stairs. Be sure to ask for a single level room if you can't climb.
