Overview
The Hotel Chelsea Cologne is a privately owned hotel in the centre of Cologne and closely connected with international contemporary art. The extraordinary roof in deconstructive architectural style is an unique experience for the hotel guests. The 35 rooms and 3 suites have all showers or bath, WC, hair-dryer, direct-dial telephone, Television and video, partly mini-bar and partly air-conditioning. As a special service, the Hotel Chelsea Cologne offers its guests Wi-Fi and Internet access for free.
Since the construction of the new roof in the year 2001 the exterior of the Chelsea, too presents itself as a piece of art. On top of the rather unpretentious building from the Sixties a spectacular roof in deconstructive architectural style is piled up. It looks like a sculpture on a pedestal, for which Gunter Forg the artist designed the colour - schem.
On this fifth floor seven new rooms have been added to the hotel, some in split-level, most of them with their own roof-top terrace, all with air- conditioning and an interior which corresponds to the architecture.
