The location of the hotel is very convenient for travelling and visiting the city, but not for sleep. Otherwise, it is a lovely place to stay!

Everything was quite pleasant, although a bit pricy, except the breakfast. 18 CHF per person for a skimpy buffet with watery coffee from a self-help coffee machine wasn't the Sunday morning treat we had bargend for. Neither the grumpy help nor the prints hanging from shelf standards spanning between to sconces (think make shift trailer environment) added much to the ambiance.

Just walked across the plaza to the train station and up a nice city street for plaza restaurants.

The room was more than adequate--the beds were clean and comfortable. The desk was helpful with directions and suggestions. All in all, a pleasant stay.

Clean and simple rooms with comfortable beds and great shower/bathroom. Perfect if you want comfort and value for money and are not looking for additional hotel facilities such as bars/lounges etc. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here if I return to Bern.

Although fronting a main road traffic noise was not an issue. We were however charged for the stay prior to arrival. This was quickly and pleasantly sorted by the reception staff and appeared to be an unfortunate clerical error

Staff was friendly and courtious. The service was good. The breakfast served was good. The location was convenient and close to the station. I recommend the hotel and it is value for money.

Its entrance can be easily missed however as it sandwiched between a shop and a covered market. The staff were helpful and courteous and the room clean and comfortable for a short stay. Because of its central location there is some traffic noise for rooms at the front of the hotel. Breakfast is served on the first floor and in the opinion of this writer overpriced (what hotel breakfast isn't?). Although it advertises wi-fi internet, this is a pay-as-you go service not linked to the hotel. The room price obtained by Holiday City for this hotel was extremely good in comparison to similar hotels in Bern. I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay whilst on business.
