This was offset though by the excellence of the breakfast. Although busy, the staff worked hard to ensure everything was replenished as it was used and once seated we never had to wait for a table to be cleared or for coffee. I never had to try my bad German because the reception staff all spoke excellent English and went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Our room was large, clean and quiet. We had a 'No Smoking' Room but as 'non-smokers' we did smell the vestiges of cigarette smoke but in no way at a level which detracted from our our satisfaction whith a very nice room.

However, we were hit by a heat wave and the room was hot. It would be much appreciated if there is a portable fan available.

The double beds kept seperating when we moved around on them at night, and that was our only complaint.
