From London and the South:

Join the M25 orbital and head north on the M1. Proceed and take the left-hand lanes, join the M6 motorway (signposted M6 The North West, Coventry North, Birmingham). Keep in right-hand lanes at junction 3A, then join the M42 motorway (signposted The North West M6 TOLL, Tamworth). Take right-hand lanes at junction 9 onto the M6 toll (signposted The North West). Continue on the M6 toll onto the toll-free motorway M6. Leave the M6 at junction 19 (signposted Manchester) then at the roundabout take the third exit onto Chester Road (A556 (signposted Manchester). At Mere Crossroads continue forward onto the A556 (sign posted Manchester).

Continue forward onto Chester Road (A556) entering Bucklow Hill. At Bowdon roundabout take the 3rd exit then join the M56 motorway (signposted Manchester). Keep in the right-hand lanes at junction 3 (signposted City Centre, Ring Road West and North). At junction 3A continue forward onto the M56. Continue forward onto Princess Parkway (A5103). Continue forward (sign posted Manchester City Centre, Didsbury). At traffic signals continue forward (sign posted City Centre). Continue forward onto Princess Road (A5103) entering Manchester.

At the roundabout take the second exit onto Medlock Street (A5103 signposted City Centre, At traffic signals turn right onto Whitworth Street West (B6469) At traffic signals continue forward onto Whitworth Street (B6469) At traffic signals continue forward and bear left onto Aytoun Street. Turn right onto Auburn Street, and arrive at City Inn Hotel Manchester.

From Scotland and The North:

Follow route for Carlisle to join the M6. Turn at junction 30 (signposted the M61) Continue on the M61 following signs for M60 and Liverpool M62. Continue down for approximately 3 miles and follow signs for M602 Manchester, towards the end of the M602 stay in the left hand lane. At the end of the M602 continue straight on at the roundabout onto the A57 (Regent Road).

Follow around the Mancunian Way and signs to Piccadilly Station. Exit the Mancunian Way at London Rd. (signed Piccadilly Station). Go under over pass and follow up to lights with Monroe's Hotel on left. Turn left at these lights onto Whitworth Street. Go to end and turn right onto Aytoun Street, and get in right lane. Turn right onto Auburn Street, and arrive at City Inn Hotel Manchester.

From North Wales:

Join the route to Chester and join the M56 to Manchester. Exit M56 at Junction 9 sign posted M6 North. Follow M6 and exit at Junction 21A and follow the signs for M62 Manchester. Follow M62 and pick up the signs for M602 Manchester. Follow straight on M602 and go straight on to join A57 (Mancunian Way).

Follow around the Mancunian Way and signs to Piccadilly Station. Exit the Mancunian Way at London Rd. (signed Piccadilly Station). Go under over pass and follow up to lights with Monroe's Hotel on left. Turn left at these lights onto Whitworth Street. Go to end and turn right onto Aytoun Street, and get in right lane. Turn right onto Auburn Street, and arrive at City Inn Hotel Manchester.

From North-East:

Join the A1 South and pick up M62 at Ferry Bridge heading west. Exit the M62 at Junction 17 sign posted Prestwich / Manchester City Centre. Travel for 4-5 miles until you come to the M.E.N Arena. Follow to the left onto Miller Street. Follow the one way system and turn right at the first lights, and right at next lights. Turn left onto Great Ancoats and up to the lights at Newton Street.

Turn right onto Newton Street and follow to the end. Follow to the right at the light onto Portland Street. Take the next possible left onto Minshull Street. Follow to the end and turn left and get over into the right hand lane. Turn right onto Auburn and arrive at City Inn Hotel Manchester.
