The hotel met all our expectations as you can see from the above - the room was very pleasant and spacious. However on our first morning we advised the management that there was no provision of hot water. They assured us that it would be seen to or that
... we would be given another room. apparently however the problem was not restricted to our room - we were not moved and every morning we reported that although we were told the engineers had seen to the problem we still had no hot water. we only had hot water on our last morning just hours prior to check-out
as you may imagine it is not pleasant at all to be without hot water in your hotel room especially in brussels in november. we were not however offered any discoiunt or similar gesture by the management which we thought was very poor pr. in fact on a point of principle we asked the hotel to send a donation to the red cross in our name out of the sum paid. the reception staff should have been flexible enough to offer some sort of remedy for our discomfort and it all left a sour taste - very poor customer care!
