The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was small, but adequate. Parking is available at a nearby parking garage, but it's expensive, although still cheaper than in Zurich. There are plenty of excellent restaurants near by. All in all a hotel we can recommend to someone who wants a pleasant stay, but wants to spend his/her money elsewhere and not on a hotel room.

So are the University and the Concerts halls. The fountains and the squares are also easy to access. having breakfast on the balcony was also a pleasant experience.The late night access is sensible. The staff are friendly and efficient and full of good advice. Rooms at the back are generally quieter, though the liveliness of the main street dies down quickly after Midnight.

Breakfast was plenty to choose. The only problem was the pillow, too soft...but this seems pretty standard in Switzerland. Later we stayed in a 4 star hotel in Montreux facing the same problem!

Nice variety, tasty, helpful staff. For one night it was fine, but we expected a nicer place. The room could use better lighting and some freshening. The bathroom was hardly equipped, dark and had a very flimsy shower curtain. I think you should think about updating the bathrooms for sure.
