The Hotel Continental Lausanne, originally built in 1898, was demolished in 1962 to leave space for a new modern building. On 29 August 1964, during the National Exhibition, the Hotel Continental Lausanne was opened to the first guests and Mr Caspar Manz presented the model of the top floor showing the future restaurant, the kitchens and the reception rooms. But only when the Hotel Continental Lausanne was finished, there was the official opening. Since then, recent renovations have been carried out in the reception, the lobby and the rooms.
