Had requested adjacent rooms but were given rooms quite far apart. But the rooms were good, though somewhat dark - the lighting was not brilliant. Beds were very comfy and breakfast was good.

We particularly enjoyed having a swim before breakfast. We had requested a room with a lake view and did not get one but when we mentioned this to reception we were immeadiatly given a different room with lake view. Excellent service. Great breakfast. Very convenient for Cardiff city. When staying in this hotel you are not aware that it is so close to a roundabout or motorway - no traffic noise and the view of lake, ducks & heron was beautiful. The only dissapointment was that the windows didn't open in any of the rooms due to a fault they said. We awoke with headaches from lack of fresh air. I would defenitely return - if the windowes are fixed.

Great location to go shopping. Staff friendly and helpful. Room and bed very comfortable. We could not have made a better choice

We eat out a gread deal especially in London and this is the first time we have ever thanked the chief personally. my parents live in Cardiff and we will always use this hotel in future. We have generally stayed at the Bay Hotel in the city centre. We were very impressed with the size of the bed. Room was very clean. Hotel has supplied soap or flannels in the past but not this time. This is not a problem because we will bring our own next time.
