Comment on Hotel :
I had a choice.I could fight with traffic into and out of Glasgow central, or I could stay at the very conveniently located Dakota. The Dakota is accessable from the M8 or the M74. I can reach it when travelling from the south or when coming in from the East. The access to the site is straight forward and parking is second to none. No fuss, no muss, no hassle! The reception is very well appointed and during the colder times a warming fire greats you. The staff have always been gracious and welcoming. I particularly like the room decor. The layout allows me to feel setttled and relaxed. The is never the feeling of something shoved in at the last minute, like some wardrobes in other hotels. The bathroom is very well appionted. A relaxing shower with a shower head the size of a bucket bottom is just the thing to relax me in the evening or wake me up in the morning. I cannot possibly do justice to the resturant. My tast buds have been tainted forever as the food is so good there, eating anywhere else is always lacking. Even when the resturant is at the height of it's evening rush, I am always able to be seated and am served promtly, and politely. I have never had to wait for anything unlike some other hotel chains I stay in. The bar does not have any real ales but does stock some good lagers. All in all, this is one of the best value for money hotels I have found in the whole of the UK.
