As we had been to Sorrento before we knew the area where the hotel is located and it was that that attracted us to it. The decor was modern and the room light and airy. Our room had a good sea view. The en suite was excellent. The room was on the small side (which we anticipated, having read comments on the web). As a consequence there was no space for easy chairs and there was no fridge.

Overall, the room was average. We found it very clean when we arrived, but was not cleaned very well during our stay. We had a basement room, and hated it. DON'T STAY IN A BASEMENT ROOM!!!!!

The breakfast was not included in the price when booking with holiday city though and so really no money was saved. Nice view and terrace!

We didn't feel we received a proper apology for this. The room we eventually got was in the basement. Felt that economy guests were treated as second class guests. But we did have a very enjoyable holiday and would return to Sorrento again. We booked 'one big bed' but on arrival discovered it was two single beds pushed together - apparently this was because we booked 'economy' but we were not told this beforehand.

One of the best small hotels I have stayed in. We had 2 rooms one was spacious, the other small but both were tastefully decorated and very comfortable.

Do not trust the taxi drivers! - an absolute rip off - even when ordered from the hotel Hotel recently refurbished- although room and bathroom small, very clean, fresh and compact.
