We spent 5 days at this hotel prior to going on a cruise. Location was good, about 10 minutes walk from Termini and less than 5 minutes from a bus stop. Our room was a little small but we saw others that were larger.

Breakfast was basic but could be eaten on the terrace, one stair flight above the breakfast room.

Facilities were good and the room was very clean and well kept. Individual air conditioning was a blessing as the weather was very hot during our stay. The staff was very helpful and english proficient. Although there was no restaurant there were several within a few minutes walk.

We would stay there again.

This hotel is just a colection of flats located nearby to each other and although the rooms were OK the general impression is a "youth hostel" like.

Hotel works well

A few issues were in 90 degree + weather, the air conditioning needed to be working better. This made is quite difficult to sleep @ night. As with all of Italy, Ice would be a great investment. In addition, we arrived with items that needed refrigeration and the in-room refrigerator was not working. The staff was very kind and helpful and roof top breakfast area was a very nice addition. For americans, the breakfast left a little to be desired, there was just enough to get you out the door.

Staff will always go out of the way to help. All from Reception, breakfast or porter close to the door downstairs. They made our holiday a very enjoyable one. The room was vey clean and with very clean towels and linen. An electric kettle will be very handy in the room.

I was glad that we needed to change hotels because the Hotel Des Artistes looked dirty and run down. Good for backpackers, but I have graduated beyond that. Truth be told, I never saw the room I had booked months before. The desk clerk indicated that my room had been flooded and I would be booked in another nearby 3 star hotel. To their credit they were very helpful in getting us to our new hotel and the hotel I went to was fine.

Very pleasant staff and very nice roof terrace. A kettle for making drinks would have been useful
