The rooms were comfortable and quiet and the staff were very helpful. It was conveniently located near the rail station although I had trouble finding it since the numbering on that street goes down to number 4 and then the road appears to end. It starts again after a major set of intersections. Once I found it however, it was comfortable, friendly and had good breakfasts.

Hotel itself is old but well mainteined. The room faces large road. Although window glasses prevent most noises, some might be bothered by sound of car engine. Other than that, I really enjoyed my one week stay at this small room with very good free wifi connection. Good value for money in Geneva where it is difficult to find not overpriced hotel.

This is a rather old hotel, but I think the price is very reasonable and I didn't have that much to complain on.

The staircase had a rather funky smell but you couldn't sense it in the rooms though.

Breakfast was pretty basic but filled it's purpose.

Since it's an old building, the sound-isolation wasn't that good but I didn't have trouble sleeping, on the contrary I'm not that picky about noise either.

The location is very good. Geneva isn't a big city but it is very central and close to pretty much everything.

Overall a pretty good experience. I've heard other people paying more for their hotel with much lower standard than this.

Getting a bus pass on checkin was a brilliant idea as it meant I did not have to find out how to do this and it gave me freedom to travel around.
The staff were very firendly and helpful - went out of their way to assist with early check-in to suit my needs.

First impression of the hotel is not great - the entrance is on the side of the hotel and is not terribly welcoming. The initial welcome to the hotel was not wonderful but the room was good, the lift worked.
The staff were indifferent - they were doing a job but really could not have cared less about you. We spoke English which was a huge disadvantage, the staff could speak a little but did not really try to bridge the communication gap.
Breakfast was continental and good it was self-service.
The best thing about Hotel Des Tourelles is its location to the shopping part of the city and the old town of Geneva - we only discovered this however by trial and error. There was no help from the staff or any kind of assistance re where to go or where to find anything!
It is however situated next to a very busy bridge and keeping windows open is not really an option as the noise level is too high.
All in all it was not bad, but quite exspensive for what you got!
