The hotel staff was very welcoming. The hotel is adjacent to an active theater "The Deutches" and the courtyard was lively each evening a couple of hours before showtime with an outdoor bar with tables. When the show was over, there was significant (if not predictable) noise but this wasn't a factor for us as we were on vacation and not reporting to work the next morning. The restaurant attached to the hotel wasn't very good and I would not recommend dining there beyond the complimentary morning breakfast, which was good. The location was decent - about a five minute walk to the Mainplatz and another five or so to the Glockenspiel (sp?). The neighborhood around the hotel was a little sketchy (strip club a couple of doors down) but not unlike most other large, modern cities. We enjoyed our stay in Munich very much and would consider staying at the Hotel Deutches Theater again.

Could only take 3 people at a time and that was tight at that. Staff very helpful and food/drinks excellent. Enjoyable stay. Location for city center excellent very close to main train station i.e around the corner. Rooms very warm could do with installing aircon system. leaving Windows only way of cooling rooms and as we stayed on the street side of the hotel noise was a problem with open windows.

Disappointed that having booked a triple room in a 4 star hotel the third bed was a pull out sofa bed.

The room was a nice size, was very clean and had very nice furniture. The bed was not the most comfortable, but it was typical for a European hotel.
