After the first night I inquired at the front desk if our request could be accommodated and they were very helpful.

The hotel on the whole is dated, but functional. The roof top has amazing views over the city. No drink making facilities. But reasonable mini bar. Decor is dated, but fine. A pleasant stay. We got a sea view without paying for the upgrade.
