The room could have been bigger but was adequate and everything was clean . The staff were very helpful,courteous and spoke good English. The breakfast and dinners were also very good value .I would definately use the hotel again and recommend it to friends.

The only exeption was the evening of our arrival. The lady at the reception box was not very helpful in giving information. She answered nearly every question by saying: "Come tomorrow". The fact that there was free bus travelling made the location of the hotel very good. The stay was very good and we will recommend Hotel Du Bois to other people.

It is an oldy worldy kind of place with everything you might expect in an old first rate hotel of the boutique type. It is situated right below Mont Blanc and out of the trafffic mess in Chamonix yet only five minutes away. It has an indoor pool with a set of poolside changing rooms complete with sauna and extra towels. There is a nice lounge/bar area with lovely old world furnishings and a lovely dining room. The food is good and plentiful. They have various options, demi pension and pay as you go etc. The bedrooms are relatively small but nicely done, again in a traditional way, lots of wood fittings and furniture. The whole staff was exceptionally nice and friendly and very helpful. All very professional and competent.

They have to send them to Australia. Not that large but quite adequate for us both.

Location is not good, accept the the hotel is nice and its restaurant is nice.
