Hotel needs some renovation and breakfast poor but would still recommend for location and good value

The room would be ready at 2.00pm. The room (200) was at the back of the hotel, no view and very pokey but very quiet. We returned to the room at 2.00pm to discover the room still not ready. I went down to reception deciding to ask to change rooms which they did immediately. The new room (215) opened out onto the main shopping street and was noticably bigger but I would regard still as small. This room was comfortable and clean and with a great view down onto the street. There was some street noise on occasion at night but not excessive. Hotel right in the middle of good sightseeing and shopping and close to good night life. Recommended.
