While at here, you can chill at the golf course for breakfast and lunch and then head on to the most popular beach here, the 1.5 kilometres fine sand Sandymount beach. Donnybrook – Donnybrook is an exclusive district in Dublin, located on the south side of the city and is home to the Irish state broadcaster RTÉ. Donnybrook was once the location of Donnybrook Fair, a fair held since 15th century, which normally ends notoriously every year due to drunkards and pub brawls. These pub fights eventually gave name to this place, donnybrook, meaning a brawl or fracas. Eventually the fair was banned in 1855. Parts of the Donnybrook Fair site now have been occupied by Donnybrook Rugby Ground and Herbert Park, two popular evening leisure spots among the locals.

The main attraction here in Donnybrook is the fine sandy beach of The Sandymount beach. Located just 15 minutes walk from the town, this superb beach offers many fun beach activities but you'll have to be careful as some activities require significant amount of strength and endurance, for example the parachute boat service. If you're not into wet and wild activity, perhaps you might be interested in exploring the James Joyce's famous Mortello Tower. The Tower was converted to a museum through the efforts of the Dublin artist, John Ryan who also organised the first Bloomsday Celebration in 1954. This medieval tower and its non tampered surrounding are sure to bring back the awesomeness of medieval artistry.
